How to Refreshing the Brain and Avoid Dementia

The brain is one of the most important tools our body. Symptoms of dementia can be experienced by anyone. Not only the elderly, but people aged 30 years also can develop dementia. There are several ways to prevent dementia, including:

  • Activate the five senses. For example, try to remember the person’s body shape that you know, and face.
  • Doing regular cardiovascular exercise or aerobics for 30-40 minutes every day, at least four days per week.
  • Reduce alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol is important for the brain but in a dose of 1 cup per day. Never more than that.
  • Good night’s sleep. Normal human sleep for an average of 8 hours per day. But all depends on the individual. If you are having problems with sleep, please consult a physician.
  • Manage stress. Stress is not a bad thing. Humans need the stress at moderate or high levels because it can improve cognitive function by making us in the standby state, as well as focus attention entirely on a task. But if it is excessive stress can reduce cognitive function.
  • Consider taking vitamins, especially vitamin C and B. Vitamin B deficiency can eliminate the memory in the brain.
  • Reduce the use of benzodiazepines and other prescription drugs who negatively affect brain function.
  • Be careful in using the pills sold in stores, especially the types of antihistamines, antacids, and sleeping pills.
  • Keep learning new things.
  • Reduce the passive activity, such as watching TV.

Hopefully those presented above help you to nourish your brain ….
